Saturdays before worship: Because we have time before worship on Saturdays we’re planning some family/mulit-generational activities in the next few weeks:
- November 26: Our Annual Turkey Games. Volleyball competitions. Games for all ages. A Manger Build (build a small manger, $25 per kit includes everything you need). Sign ups for purchasing Manger Kits this weekend.
Forum on Islam, Wednesday, Nov. 9, 6:30 pm. I’m really excited about this opportunity to learn more about our Muslim friends. Our guest will be a local lawyer: Yaser Ali. He’s awesome. And he’ll be bringing some folks from his local Mosque along for us to hang out with after the forum.
Peace Lutheran-Community of Grace Reformation Tour. Next October 2017 we celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation when Martin Luther nailed 95 Thesis to the door of the Wittenberg Castle Church, launching a dramatic revolution in Christianity. Pastor Al Cassel from Peace Lutheran is hosting a tour of Luther sites in Germany next September. The tour group will meet me in Wittenberg where we will worship together in one of the historic Luther Churches. Information meeting is Wednesday, Nov. 16@6 at Peace Lutheran Church.
