For 5 weeks we have been racing toward the celebration of the birth of Jesus. And it’s finally here!
Here’s all you need to know to enjoy the sacred, compelling, reckless power of Christmas:
Weekend Services: Saturday@5, Sunday@8:45 and 10:15. Our annual Carols, Cookies, Communion Grace Christmas Party Worship Service. This is a tradition we started our very first year as a church in 2005. I love this service. It’s informal. It’s fun. It’s profound. And it will set the stage for our Christmas Eve Eve and Christmas Eve Services. Wear your Ugly Christmas Sweater to possibly win a prize! And bring some cookies to share.
Christmas Eve Services: All services are identical with the exception of December 24, 7:30
Sunday, December 23, Christmas Eve Eve: 3:30 and 5:30 (with a live nativity petting zoo in between). And bring some cookies to share.
Monday, December 24, Christmas Eve: 3:30, 5:30 and 7:30 (Scriptures, carols, communion, and then outside for a candlelight finish to the night). And bring some cookies to share.
I hope you will invite some friends. You can rest assured that they will hear the good news of the Savior born for them!

Tax-free IRA withdrawals for charity
Anyone over 70-1/2 may take tax-free distributions of up to $100,000 from a traditional IRA if the money is distributed directly to an eligible charity. While retirees can’t also take a deduction for that contribution, the money won’t count as income. So it won’t hurt when it comes to other taxes, such as those imposed on Social Security benefits when income exceeds a certain level.
Those contributions would be directed to:
Community of Grace Lutheran Church (If they request our Fed ID #20-2336497)
