Faith.Forward! – 1/13/2018

Hey, Grace’rs,

Your Faith.Forward! Assignment: Assess! Before making any kind of purchase, take a breath and assess. Do I need this…or want this? Is this the best use of my money? If I don’t make this purchase, what are the downsides? What are the upsides? And if I do make the purchase what are the upsides and downsides? Also, check out this very easy way to bring sanity to your finances:

FAITH5: Tonight and every night before you head to bed spend some time with those you love and do this faith-building experience together (or, do it alone as a time of before bed devotions, keeping a journal and recording the following as an act of prayer):

01ShareIcon Share… One high and one low from your day.
02ReadIcon Read… John 10
“I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.” 10: The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
03TalkIcon Talk… What does the voice of Jesus sound like to you? Where do you hear it? What do you hear Jesus saying to you? What do you hear Jesus saying to you about the gift of your finances? What does a rich, satisfying life look like from the perspective of Jesus…and how does that shape the way you think about a rich, satisfying life?
Pray… for each other.
Bless… each other by affirming one thing you like about the other person. Bless each other by making the sign of the cross on each person, saying: The LORD bless you and keep you.
