Faith.Forward! – 4/7/2019

Hey, Grace’rs,

We’re spending the next several months diving deep into God’s grace. Our topic for this month: grasped by grace. Each week during your nightly FAITH5 Experience we will look at what it means to be grasped by the grace of God.

Parents… As always you will want to have these discussions with your kids at age appropriate levels. You might also go online and find a kids version of the Bible passage. has many different versions that you can choose from. Note especially the ICB (International Children’s Bible).

Reading a passage from the Bible and living with it for several days helps get its promise into our souls. You may or may not have a lot to talk about the passage from day to day. But do take the time to read it and ask what new insights you have into that passage today. God does have something compelling to say to you today and each day through these Bible passages.

Titus 3:4-8

God our Savior showed us
how good and kind he is.

He saved us because
of his mercy,
and not because
of any good things
that we have done.

God washed us by the power
of the Holy Spirit.
He gave us new birth
and a fresh beginning.

God sent Jesus Christ
our Savior
to give us his Spirit.

Jesus treated us much better
than we deserve.

He made us acceptable to God
and gave us the hope
of eternal life.

This message is certainly true.

03TalkIcon Talk… What are the different words that Paul uses to describe the way that God grasps us? What does it look like, based on our passage for this week, to be grasped by God’s grace? How does being in the grasp of God and his grace shape the way you look at your life?

During the week you might want to grasp someone you love with a big bear hug and let that person know how much you love him or her. If you are doing FAITH5 with others… grasp each other each night as you bless each other.

Pray… thank God for the highs you shared today. Pray that God would help you as you deal with the lows from the day. I think God for holding you in the grasp of his grace.
Bless… End your time by making the sign of the cross on each other and saying these words: May the Lord bless you and keep you.
