After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter,

“Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.”

“Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him.

Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

“Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.”

“Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.

A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep.

03TalkIcon Talk… Go to and look up John 18:15-24. What words would you use to describe how Peter must have felt after denying Jesus three times? How would you have felt? What do you think Jesus was up to when asked Peter three times if Peter loved Jesus? Have there been times when you feel you have let Jesus down? As you bless each other, add in the words: In the name of Jesus you are forgiven.
Pray… For each other, for those you love, for your church, for your fellow students or coworkers, that they might experience being rooted in God’s grace through Christ.
Bless… End your time by making the sign of the cross on each other and saying these words: May the Lord bless you and keep you.
