FAITH5 Plus 1 – 10/15/2018

Hey, Grace’rs,

Your Plus 1 Assignment: Practice Dangerously Good Faith this week by walking/driving/cycling/jogging your neighborhood and pray for/bless your neighbors as you pass by their houses.

FAITH5: Tonight and every night before you head to bed spend some time with those you love and do this faith-building experience together (or, do it alone as a time of before bed devotions, keeping a journal and recording the following as an act of prayer):

You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. You know that Christ was rich, but for you he became poor. Christ did this so that by his being poor you might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)

Each one should give, then, what he has decided in his heart to give. He should not give if it makes him sad. And he should not give if he thinks he is forced to give. God loves the person who gives happily. And God can give you more blessings than you need. Then you will always have plenty of everything. You will have enough to give to every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)

03TalkIcon Talk… How does Jesus becoming poor make you rich? When you think about generosity in your own life/family, how does it make you feel? What does generosity look like for your family? How is generosity the antidote to Christians behaving badly?
Pray… for each other.
Bless… each other by affirming one thing you like about the other person. Bless each other by making the sign of the cross on each person, saying: The LORD bless you and keep you.
