We are looking at what the cross reveals to us about the real God. While Christians believe the cross is where we see the real God, over the centuries we’ve created layers of misunderstanding about God even around the cross.
God asks Abraham to do something absolutely horrifying. On the surface it presents God as a masochist. But hopefully by now you’re beginning to see that underneath the surface is a radical picture of what God is really like. This weekend is no exception.
